A BSF convoy has been attacked by the terrorists today in the early hours killing 2 jawans and 1 militant.Two Jawans of Border Security Force and a militant has been killed and eight others have been injured when a Border Security Force personnel convoy was attacked at Narsu Nullah near Samroli at Udhampur of Jammu and Kashmir.
2 Jawans And 1 Militant Killed When BSF Convoy Attacked In Jammu:
According to the sources the attack was started at 7:30 am at Samroli which is about 80 km from Jammu in which one militant was killed in exchange of fire and the encounter is still continuing.
Meanwhile, all vehicles including Amarnath yatra were stopped on the national highway as news about the terrorist attack came in. All the pilgrims were safe according to the sources.
The police and the Army personnel were rushed to the spot and the entire area was cordoned off.Meanwhile vehicular movement on the highway has been stopped after the attack. The injured were rushed to the hospitals for treatment and the encounter was still on.
Sources said that the terrorists opened fire from a hillock along the highway and hurled grenades.The attack comes a day after the Pakistan troops violated the ceasefire in which a civilian has been killed across the Line of Control on Tuesday across the international border.
A National Security Adviser Level Talks were scheduled on August 23-24 between India and Pakistan which is going to be held for the purpose to bring an end to the cross border terror.
