Aizawl/New Delhi (mizonews.net): Three youths have been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly abducting and then trying to rape a Mizo woman in the national capital.

Sources said that two of the accused are students and the third man works in a company as an executive.

18-year-old Diki (name widthheld) was abducted outside a Delhi club in Vasant Kunj area in South Delhi on early Thursday morning, police said.

“However, after driving around in search of an isolated spot, the three youths who were drunk could not find one and they finally dumped her at the Chirag Dilli flyover,” police added.

The police also confirmed that the woman was “not raped.”

“We were able to arrest the based on the CCTV footage from the club late on Thursday,” police said.

The accused were produced before a magistrate and sent to judicial custody.
