Aizawl (mizonews.net): The Assam Rifles yesterday organised ‘Go Green Campaign’ at Lunglawn and it was attended by Parliamentary Secretary S.Laldingliana who planted saplings at the campus of the 40th Assam Rifle’s hospital.

The Assam Rifles is partnering with the public in the three districts of Lunglei, Lawngtlai and Saiha in planting saplings since July 1.

The force is planning to plant more than 3000 saplings by July 15.

“The main objective of the 40th Assam Rifle is to create awareness about conservation of environment,” the Assam Rifles said in a statement.

The saplings are provided by the Lunglei DFO.
