Aizawl (mizonews.net): “Training of Disaster Risk Deduction”, organised by Saiha District Disaster Management Authority (under GoI-UNDP Programme-URR) was held at Saiha at DCs Conference Hall yesterday.

“The training was quite successful,” official sources said.

The training was conducted by T.Lalengmuana, District Field Officer, DM&R, Saiha. Zothanmawia Khiangte SDC & Nodal Officer, DM&R Saiha, also explained the purpose of the training in his introductory speech, after which the Resource Persons Hunlawmawma, T.Lalengmuana, D.F.O., DM&R Branch, Saiha and Zothanmawia Khiangte, SDC & Nodal Officer, DM&R, Saiha talked on different topics viz., Dos & Don’ts and Non-Structural Mitigation”, “Mainstreaming of DRR into Development Programme and Plans”, “Departmental S.O.P” and “Office Safety”.

The event was attended by good number of department officials in Saiha, besides M.A.D.C. officials and media persons.
