“Misfortunes are being caused on each post card and inland letter. According to the expense apportioned for the year 2013-14, misfortune on post card and inland letter was Rs 7.03 and Rs 4.93, individually,” Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said in a composed answer to the Lok Sabha.

The movement grew 3.1 percent to Rs 208.72 crore in 2013-14. Pace post movement grew 14.8 percent in 2011-12, fell 17.8 percent in 2012-13 and returned to development in 2013-14 with 7.8 percent ascend in activity to Rs 39.87 crore.
In a different inquiry, the IT minister said the division has printed 18.16 lakh stamps under the customized postage stamp plot ‘My Stamp’ and has earned an aggregate income of Rs 4.57 crore.
Likewise, the IT minister reported that appropriate changes and charges will be made to overcome this issue. The most elevated income was collected from Tamil Nadu (Rs 54.20 lakh), while no income originated from Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Nagaland under the plan.
