Bangalore (mizonews.net): Chief Convener of the upcoming Bangalore ZOfest 2012, Hriata Chhangte,has been promoted as Deputy Controller of Mines.

Chhangte appeared for UPSC direct interview, sources said.

“It is not just a great honour for the Zo brothers and sisters, but also for the Indian tribal community as a whole. We are very fortunate indeed to have such a man for our Chief convener,” Samuel Lalrozama Hmar said in the Zofest Facebook page.

Chhangte is likely to be transferred to Kolkata.
