Mizo singer Gnat Lalrinchhana.

Aizawl (mizonews.net): Well-known Mizo singer Gnat Lalrinchhana passes away here in the state capital yesterday morning at around 10.40 pm after a 15 feet fall down from a veranda.

He was soon rushed to the Aizawl Civil Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Sources said that Lalrinchhana fell down from the ground floor veranda of one Mr Vengthawma’s building near Upper Republic Bethesda building which is rented the singer’s ex-wife Zothangi and her mother Lalchhanhimi.

Lalrinchhana was also a Muaythai enthusiast and he had won a silver medal at the 9th World Amateur Muaythai Championship held in Bangkok last year.

Some of the songs he sang include the likes of ‘Aw Zoram’, Lung a leng em ami’, ‘Mampui’, I tel lochuan’ and ‘Ngaihzual’.

Police are yet to ascertain the exact nature of his death even as the general public debates on whether Lalrinchhana accidentally slipped or deliberately jumped off or if he was pushed by someone.
