Aizawl (mizonews.net): The North East Student’s Organization ( NESO) yesterday submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Mizoram Vakkom Purushothaman for addressing various issues raised by the organisation.

The issues cover revamping of the the education policy & human resources development in the north east.

It also asked for repeal of impunitive legislations and expeditite the ongoing peace process with militants for an early negotiated settlement.

The student body also highlighted the issue of infiltration of illegal migrants, refugees  among others.

“A comprehensive economic and infrastructural development,” is the need of the hour, they said.

The organisation’s Mizoram chapter also took up environment employment policy for north east, Indo– Bangla Land Swap Deal, stapled visa and special constitutional status and separate zone for NE Region.
