Aizawl (mizonews.net): The biggest cultural festival of the Mizos, Chapchar Kut, will be celebrated in Mizoram on February 28 and March 1.

Organising Committee for Chapchar Kut yesterday held a meeting at Art & Culture Minister P.C. Zoram Sangliana’s office during which the programme for the festival was prepared.

“The people’s participation is necessary so that the Mizos valued more and more of their festivals. As such, in order to draw more number of people at the cultural festival, a well organised programme is required,” Zoramsanga said.

It is important that every individual perform his or her responsibility to preserve the tradition and cultural values of the Mizos, he added.

The meeting also resolved that the programme may be reviewed again by the organizing committee. The meeting was attended by committee members, officials and representatives of organizations.
