Aizawl (mizonews.net): The Joint Action Committee on Pay Anomaly (JACOPA) is planning to go on mass casual leave from August 13-17 to show their unhappiness with the Congress government for not fulfilling their demands.
JACOPA said that following their agitation regarding Pay Review Committee 1990, they had requested the state government many times to rectify all the anomalies in their salary on July 18. “Since no action has been taken till now we will take mass casual leave,” JACOPA said in a statement.
JACOPA has asked all members to take casual leave from their respective offices, except ministerial staffs, who are given consideration as they shall remain busy pertaining to Independence Day celebrations.
Members of JACOPA includes – LDCs, UDCs, Assistants, high school teachers, headmasters, and Hindi teachers of high school, who are all informed for the mass casual leave, and are also informed that, if they are forced to work, they should called up the JACOPA leaders, the association said.
