Aizawl (mizonews.net): Mizoram Chief Minister Lalthanhawla said on Friday that despite almost half of the state budget going to the salaries of the government employees, some people are still making their pay structure an issue.
“Despite this, there are still some who are dissatisfied over their salary,” he said while addressing the irrigation staff at Berawtlang in Aizawl.
Mentioning that some members of government staff union were planning to take mass casual leave ahead of Independence Day, the Chief Minister said, “mass casual leave is not allowed by conduct rules.”
“If they insist on disturbing national day the government will not remain silent,” he said, adding “the government is most concerned for the welfare of its employees.”
