Mizoram: Non-subsidised LPG (cooking gas) to cost Rs 1067

Aizawl (mizonews.net): As per the direction of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, the cap on subsidized LPG has been fixed at six cylinders per family for  Mizoram and the non-subsidised cylinder will cost Rs 1067.

This was informed officials after the State Level Advisory Committee meet yesterday.

The meeting was chaired by M. Zohmingthangi, IAS, FCS&CA Director and attended by representatives of supply department, legal department, LPG distributors, Mizoram Consumers’ Union and Central YMA.

“Following the letter of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. IAO/SIL/INSPECTION on 26.09.2012- as per direction of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to allow from 13.09.2012 to each family- only 6 LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) for one year, Mizoram will have to implement the order and it came into effect since September 14, 2012,” the official statement said.

Therefore, during 14.9.2012 to March 2013, one family can get only 3 LPG cylinders on subsidized rate; and for those who already had taken 3 cylinders, they will have to buy it on non-subsidized rate until April 2013.

The meeting also fixed the non-subsidised rate per LPG cylinder in Mizoram  at Rs.1067; but, in Vairengte it will be Rs. 1066.
