MNF activists trying to mislead public, says MPYCC
Aizawl (mizonews.net): Congress youth wing has accused the Mizo National Front youth wing of “showing disrespect to the public and taking advantage of crisis in the state for mere political favour”.
The MPYCC said in a statement that MNF youth activists had indulged in distribution of charcoal, giving compensation to NLUP beneficiaries whose cows had died besides planting paddy on main road by Champhai.
“Their actions are silly, and it only shows their disrespect towards the public, and their trickery of taking political advantage,” the Congress youth wing said.
“We decry that the MNF youths had distributed charcoals to people- that too a small quantity which is not dependable, despite the fact that the state government is taking necessary steps to overcome the shortage in cooking gas supply,” they said.
Such actions is an “attempt to mislead the people,” and the MNF should recall the crisis in during their term in office when people had to wait the for a night, MPYCC said.
Stating that traffic was disrupted because Champhai MNF youth activists planted paddy along Awmpui main road, MPYCC said, “What they had done is meaningless, as they knew the paddy will not grow on it; it is no other than showing disrespect towards the public.”
