Aizawl (mizonews.net): The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) said that it will not withdraw their FIR against Hrangbana College principal K. Liantuala who they accused of misusing the UGC fund meant for the college.
Following its resolution to find a solution to the FIR against Hrangbana College principal K. Liantuala by the Mizo Zirlai Pawl, the Mizoram College Principal Council had asked the students body to withdraw the case lodged before the Anti- Corruption Bureau.
However, the MZP is said to be firm in its stand and is “not willing” to comply with the plea of the principals.
Various principals on Friday met MZP leaders at the principal’s office of Government Aizawl College where they urged them to withdraw the FIR on the ground that “enmity cropping up between students and teacher is uncalled-for”.
The principals told the students’ body that, although they do not have any knowledge on how the principal of Hrangbana College had spent the money received from the University Grant Commission (UGC) it was their “duty to back” their fellow worker.
