Aizawl (mizonews.net): North East Zone Cultural Zonal’s Silver Jubilee celebration across India which begins since March 2012 has reached Mizoram and as a part of the celebration programme North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur, organised celebration programmes at Kolasib, Luglei and Aizawl.
The programme in Aizawl was held at the Art Workshop and inaugurated at Banquet Hall, Tourist Lodge. Around 24 persons (Painters and Sculptures) came from outside the state to participate in the workshop.
For the Jubilee celebration cultural programme in Kolasib, 46 dancers came from 3 states will take part in it. St. John’s Higher Secondary School, Kolasib will host the programme on 19.9.2012. Likewise, Sacret Heart School, Lunglei also will host the Jubilee celebration programme on 19.9.2012, which will also witness the performance of 46 dancers from three different states.
On 21.9.2012 at Vanapa Hall in Aizawl, the main programme of the Jubilee celebration will be held, which will see the presence of all the performers in Lunglei and Kolasib, besides the dancers from the host Mizoram too. Mizoram Governor Vakkom Purushothaman will also grace the programme as Chief Guest, and Art & Culture Minister P.C. Zoram Sangliana will be the Guest of Honour. North East Zone Cultural Centre Officers and Art & Culture Department Officers are now on full preparation for the important programme. The organisers invite everyone to participate in the programme, which will be free of cost.
