Aizawl (mizonews.net):Mizoram Higher & Technical Education Minister Lalsawta informed the State Assembly that “only three colleges in Mizoram have permanent principal”.

Lalsawta said this in reply to K.Liantlinga. “At present 21 teachers take principal charge; and steps are being taken to make appointment for permanent post of principal as per UGC norms,” he added.

Moreover, 89 posts for teachers are vacant in different colleges of Mizoram and process is on to fill such vacant posts, he added.

The minister also informed that there have been “no unfilled” seats of Mizoram quota in higher studies outside the state.

“While there are some institutions who want to allot the quota-seats, that has not happen so far,” he said.
