Pawans helicopter service all set for Mizoram sky

Aizawl (mizonews.net): Pawans helicopter service is all set for public use after it was inaugurated by Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla last week.

GAD Aviation Wing Commander Lalzawma told this to mediapersons yesterday at Aizawl Press Club.

He was accompanied by Saidenga , Asst. Director, Civil & GAD Aviation Wing, Captain Col. Sameer Singh Rtd, Army Officer , Brigadier Nanda Rtd. Army officer from Pawan Hans Helicopter Service Wg.Comd.

Lalzawma said that it was a long drawn process by  Congress government.

About 75% subsidy will come from Union Home Ministry.

Stating on why Pawan Hans was selected, Lalzawma said: “Pawan Hans is the Indian largest Helicopter Service which is  a Central Government recognized helicopter service company.”

He had also praised Lal Thanhawla for helicopter service in Mizoram. “It is  not commercial venture , but for a common welfare of Mizoram people.”
