Second sitting of 6th Mizoram Assembly begins

Aizawl (mizonews.net): The second sitting of the 6th Legislative Assembly of Mizoram (Eleventh session) began yesterday at 10:30 am here in the state capital at Mizoram Legislative Assembly House.

Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla paid tributes to deceased former members of the House – Zalawma and L. Thanmawii.

Finance Minister H.Liansailova also laid presented the 20th Annual Report of the Mizoram Public Service Commission 2010-2011. He also beg leave of the House to introduce “The Mizoram Local Fund (Accounts & Audit) (First Amendment) Bill, 2012.

Assembly Speaker R.Romawia also reported to the House the time table as chalked out by the Business Advisory Committee for the current session.Further, questions entered in separate list were asked and oral answers given.

In replied to the question by TT Zothansanga, Lal Thanhawla said creation of 70 various government jobs are in progress for MNF Returnees settled at Remna Run.

H.Liansailova, Minister for Agriculture replying to John Siamkunga said that as many as 44,995 families had received help during the 1st Phase of NLUP and the 2nd phase NLUP fund will be distributed after the budget is passed. “It will cover 45,000 families,” he said.

Commenting on another question by Lalduhoma, Lal Thanhawla speaking for General Administration Department said that Government of Mizoram and Central government did not sign MoU for keeping Jet Fighter at Lengpui Airport.

Lalsawta, Minister for School Education, said steps were taken to recognize the new Secondary School under RMSA Scheme.
