Aizawl: A 4 member team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has reached Kamalanagar on Wednesday to investigate the irregularities of serious corruption committed by the CADC authority since 2008, MNF sources from Kamalanagar said.
The Governor of Mizoram Nirbhay Sharma directed the ACB to investigate the allegations leveled by the MNF Party after the submission of Memorandum on 13 November last year by the party leaders.
A delegation of Mizo National Front (MNF) district headquarters; Kamalanagar headed by former legislator and MNF president of district Hqrs, Chawngte, Rasik Mohan Chakma on last November met Governor Lt. General (Retd) Nirabhay Sharma in Aizawl and submitted a memorandum demanding immediate dissolution of the existing council of the Chakma Autonomous District or CADC headed by Kali Kumar Tongchang for unabated commitment of corruption by the consecutive Executive Committee.
The delegation in its memorandum also alleged massive corruption as being committed by the leaders of CADC since 2008.
Among several others, the allegations that put forward to the Governor were illegal appointment of 290 persons belonging to close relatives of Congress MDCs, irregular payment of monthly salary to the CADC Employees, Awarding of Contract worth Rs.60.88 lakhs to wife of former CEM Shri Buddha Lila Chakma, misuse of huge amount of money amounting to lakh of rupees and local receipt fund.
