Mary Kom

Reigning Wold boxing champion from Manipur Mary Kom has entered the quarter finals of in the 51-kg women boxing at the London Olympic.

Mary defeated Karolina Michalczuk of Poland in the fouth round of the her first match keeping the Indians hope alive for a gold medal.

The match was a tight as the Polish boxer gave a tough fight for Mary by punching a draw in the first round.

The score was 3-3, 5-4, 7-3 and 4-4.

Mary will now take on Rahali Maroua of  Tunisia tomorrow.
